For over 20 years the Y has offered quality child care for children before and after school during scheduled school breaks. Our Child Care programs are centered on our core values – caring, honesty, respect and responsibility – and include a healthy program structure of:
- 45 minute of daily exercise
- Art, games, reading & science activities
- Healthy snacks and nutritional learning
- Community giving and charity
- Out trips and local exploration
- Lessons in sharing and healthy relationships
6:30–8:30am, $26/week or $5.20/day
- Kelowna Family Y. The Y Van drops children off at the following schools: Pearson, Belgo, South Rutland, and Black Mountain Elementary.
- Quigley Elementary this program is geared for children who attend Quigley Elementary.
Care Gr K–6
2:30–6pm, $73/week (includes early dismissals) or $14.60/day.
Located at the following schools:
- Black Mountain Elementary, 1650 Gallagher Rd
- Quigley Elementary, 705 Kitch Rd. We provide part time, full time and drop-in based on availability. We pick up children from the following elementary schools: Pearson, Rutland and South Rutland and provide care at Quigley Elementary.
Keep your child active this Spring Break at our YMCA Day Camp. Each day will be action-packed with a variety of activities including: fun active games, sports, dancing, arts and crafts, outdoor play, swimming and community out-trip.
*All our day camps are provincially licensed

You must include a colour photo (face shot, 2×3″) of your child and a copy of your child’s immunization * required
Bring your completed registration and payment forms to the Kelowna Family YMCA * please note incomplete forms will not be accepted.
Step 4: Payments
To secure your child’s registration we must receive payment in full along with your child’s completed registrations forms. Full payment is due at the time of registration.
Please note if you are applying for government subsidy and or YMCA Financial Assistance this must be approved and in place at the time of registration; otherwise the full fee will be required to secure your space.

In the event you need to cancel your Christmas Day Camp
- Cancellation notice must be submitted in writing and/or email to firstname.lastname@example.org
- Cancellations received 7 days or more prior to start of camp will receive a refund less a $25.00 administration fee.
No cancellations will be given for less than 7 days or for any sick or missed days.
We believe no family should be turned away from quality child care because of an inability to pay.
BC Child Care Subsidy
As a parent, you may apply to the Ministry of Children and Family Development (Child Care Subsidy Centre) to see if you are eligible for assistance with your child care fees. The subsidy, determined through an application process and depending on your financial circumstances. As an enrolling parent, it is your responsibility to ensure that you apply for subsidy as the YMCA cannot apply for this subsidy on your behalf. Full payment of the child care fee will be required until we are notified by the Child Care Subsidy Centre of your subsidy approval and you must pay any outstanding balance not covered by the subsidy to the YMCA.
