Summer Day Camps

For school age children going into Grade 1 to Grade 6

Join us this summer for our weekly theme camps! Children will participate in a variety of activities including; group games, sports, science projects, arts and crafts, drama, nature studies, hikes, swimming, out trips to local beaches and water parks, and so much more…

*All our day camps our provincially licensed

Located at Studio 9
1180 Houghton Rd

7:30am-5:30pm

$175 per week

Registration for individual part time days will open up one week prior to each camp starting; provided we have space available.

For New Families Registering

Step 1

Complete registration forms in full

Step 2

You must include a colour photo (face shot, 2×3″ of your child and a copy of your child’s immunization * required

Step 3

Bring your completed registration and payment forms to the Kelowna Family YMCA * please note incomplete forms will not be accepted.

Step 4: Payments

We require full payment for one week bookings, if you are booking multiple weeks we require a deposit of $100 plus banking information (void chq or visa or master card) the remainder of your fees will be scheduled on the 20th of the prior month.

Please note if you are applying for government subsidy and or YMCA Financial Assistance this must be approved and in place at the time of registration; otherwise the full fee will be required to secure your space.

Refund Policy

In the event you need to cancel your Summer Day Camp

  • Cancellation notice must be submitted in writing and/or email to sboser@ymcaokanagan.ca
  • Cancellations received 7 days or more prior to start of camp will receive a refund less a $25.00 administration fee.

No cancellations will be given for less than 7 days or for any sick or missed days.

Weekly Camp Themes:

July 2-5 “We are Family”—Y spirit, family collage, barbeque picnic/this is me

July 8-12 “Going Green”—recycled art, garden lanterns, hiking in the forest

July 15-19 “Top Hats & Acrobats”—yoga, circus carnival, drama

July 22-26 “Get Up & Get Moving”—Zumba®, sports, dance

July 29-Aug 2 “Space is the Place”—paper mache planets, rocket ships and moon walking

Aug 6-9 “Call of the Wild”—kangaroo farms, wilderness safety, ant farms

Aug 12-16 “Great out Doors”—Eco Center, bug collecting, fishing pond

Aug 19-23 “Talent Show”—talent show, minute to win it, moving and grooving
