Strong Kids Campaign

Where do the dollars go?

Every dollar donated to the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign goes directly to supporting kids and families in the Okanagan.

Assisted Membership

Because it's more fun when we belong.

The YMCA is a supportive place where kids can be themselves, whether it’s through sports, an after school club or a leadership development program.

$250/year ($21/month)  gives a child an annual membership where he or she can develop skills, character and self esteem.

$500/year ($41/month) gives a year of YMCA activities for two youth as they take steps towards their independence.

Affordable Child Care

Because every child deserves a safe place to grow.

YMCA Child Care is a place where children can feel at home, learn, grow, and have fun in an environment that is welcoming, safe and stimulating.

$120/year ($10/month) enrolls a child into an enriched pre-school program giving him or her the positive start needed to be kindergarten ready.

$500/year ($41/month) provides a child access to an after-school program to develop his or her capacity for lifelong learning

Camp Experience

Because learning happens when you're having fun.

A week at camp is the best week of the year for many kids. Friendships, self-condence, belonging—it all happens at camp.

$350/year ($29/month) provides a child one week of new adventures, challenges and memories to last a lifetime.

$1200/year ($100/month) supports two youth in their pursuit to become camp counselors or community leaders.
