It's a smart move - post secondary students get your All Access Pass for the Kelowna Family YMCA or H2O for just $99 for four months or $189 for eight months.
The FlowRider® at H2O is currently out of service. We are waiting for a replacement part and will have it operating again as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience.
Regardless of your ability to pay, we want you to live an active and healthy life. We offer financially subsidized membership and child care options for low income individuals and families.
We offer a wide variety of programs to help individuals and families grow and thrive. Find the one that's right for you.
When you join the Y, you automatically become a part of a brand new community. We're the place where children, adults and families thrive together.
We are drown-proofing the Okanagan by providing free swimming lessons to every grade 3 student in School District #23.
Thanks to generous donors, we offer Beyond the Bell; an after school program available to some of the Okanagan's most at-risk kids.
We believe kids should have access to healthy food and snacks in our programs.
The results are in! Tim Hortons restaurants in the Central Okanagan donated $35,488 from their annual Smile Cookie Campaign to the YMCA of Okanagan. The campaign, which ran for a week in September, saw tens of thousands of Tim Hortons customers purchase a Smile Cookie for a dollar. 100 per cent of the proceeds raised from Smile Cookie sales were donated.
“I think more youth should go through the Y’s employment programs” says Webster. “The people who run them are ridiculously friendly and helpful, and by the end of it you really have a sense of what you want to do and what you want to accomplish. You know you can always come back as well, which is great. It feels a bit like family. Definitely a ten out of ten in my books.”
“I had never come to a gym before,” Ogilvie explains. “I am not that brave at times, but my fitness coach, Collin Polmear, took me under his wing and helped me feel more comfortable. There is always someone to help me if I need it and I am finding exercise truly helps my COPD and Rheumatoid Arthritis.”
