At the YMCA, we don't know the meaning of the word "bored". Kids love participating in all our activities—like swimming, art, crafts, dance, games, and science experiments—so much that they don't want to go home.

Register for Child & Youth Programs

  • Tot Time

This is the perfect time for your tot to socialize and play! Toddlers and parents can explore various climbing apparatus, toys, and other sports equipment together. What a great way to jump-start the day! Parents must be present with their child at all times. Currently only offered at the Kelowna Family Y.

  • Sport & Swim

Your child can explore the foundational skills required to move through gymnastics and swimming! Balances, rotations, locomotions, springs, and landings are concepts students will explore to develop whole-body awareness and discover what they are truly capable of.

  • Craft & Swim

Kids explore age-appropriate movement stations, crafts, music, and stories as well as take a dip in the pool! Social skills like turn-taking, sharing, and good listening skills are promoted to encourage healthy mental and emotional development.

  • Dance

Our qualified instructors will teach an energetic, fun, and modern dance incorporating a variety of styles. Classes include basic technique and step-by-step choreography, so no previous dance experience is necessary.

  • Y Soccer

The YMCA Soccer program is designed to be energetic, inclusive, and fun while striving to teach children the values of participating in sports for life. Through weekly sessions, children will learn all the FUNdamentals of the sport of Soccer. Children will be divided into classes adapted to their age group (no previous experience required) and participate in weekly sessions. Currently only offered at the Kelowna Family Y.

  • Y Fridays

Experience the ultimate movie night like never before! Join us for an evening of exciting aquatic adventures, cinematic magic, mouthwatering pizza, and the chance to forge new friendships. It's the perfect combination of fun and entertainment! 

Register each week for the nights you are free! Registration will open the Friday before and close at 6 a.m. on the Friday the program takes place. 

  • Pro-D Day Camp

Are you looking for an exciting and enriching way to spend your Pro-D Day? Look no further than the YMCA Pro-D Day Camp! Join us for a day filled with laughter, new friendships, and a wide range of activities that will keep you entertained from start to finish. View Camps

  • Dance

  • Kids in Action

Our enthusiastic Y leaders invite your child to experience high-energy action after school. We keep children moving by using active challenges, sports, and kid-friendly classic games to encourage physical activity in a fun and engaging way.

  • Y Not Build It

Get your child’s creative juices flowing in this cool hands-on program! Your child will be provided with open-ended opportunities to design and build. Not only will your child take home their creations, but we’ll also practice teamwork and cooperation while building in pairs and groups!

We want all kids to embrace their unique qualities and shine bright like a star! Our inspiring leaders direct activities designed to celebrate, encourage, and empower them as well as address age-appropriate topics to help them build strong friendships and happy, healthy bodies. All are welcome.

Childminding (Ages 0-12)

Enjoy a facility workout or swim while your children are cared for by qualified staff and volunteers in a safe and fun environment. Child Minding provides supervised play with age-appropriate toys, arts and crafts, and special care for babies.

Financial Assistance

As a charity, the Y believes no family should be turned away because of financial circumstances. Thanks to generous donors, the Y is able to provide financial assistance to families who could not otherwise afford the full cost of Y programs and memberships.

Our free employment services support youth and young adults with employment skills, certifications, networking, career exploration and self-discovery.
