Let us guide you towards a stronger and longer life through exercise

Exercise is proven to be one of the most effective and safe ways to prevent and treat many chronic diseases such as heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, osteoporosis, anxiety disorders, depression and more. It's also recognized by the government as critical to our overall health.

As a result, the Exercise is Medicine® Canada (EIMC) initiative was created to reward and encourage more individuals to exercise as a proactive health measure. The focus is to encourage primary care physicians and other health care providers to include physical activity when designing treatment plans for patients and referring their patients to EIMC credentialled professionals. The YMCA of Southern Interior BC is proud to have the credentials to offer this program.
