Young Parent Program

We are proud to operate the Young Parent Program at Kelowna Secondary School, in partnership with Central Okanagan Schools. This community program provides parents under the age of 20 with the fundamental tools they need to thrive.

0 to 3 Years and 3 to 5 years

YMCA Early Years Child Care programs offer environments that are safe and stimulating, with caring, supportive caregivers who understand what makes your child special.

Choosing a child care provider is a big decision: you want your baby or toddler to be nurtured and cared for as well as you would do yourself. Our YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum provides your little one with a chance to learn and grow through creative play, helping them get ready for a lifetime of learning. This national play-based curriculum combines our decades of experience in child care delivery with the latest body of knowledge on how the brain develops and how children learn.

We know that children need much more than just immediate family to grow up strong—our programs support families and provide young children with the care and support they need to reach their full potential. Our infant programs follow a child to staff ratio of 1:4 and provide individual, customized schedules for feeding and napping. Children spend time outside each day and are provided with healthy snacks.

YMCA Early Years Care is currently offered at Little Scholars Child Care and Kelowna Secondary School
