Financial Support

At the YMCA, no family is left behind, regardless of their financial situation. Find out how you can apply for the Affordable Child Care benefit from the government or financial assistance from the Y. YMCA Child Care centres also participate in the Child Care Fee Reduction Initiative.

The KAJ Snowfest will take place at H2O from January 18–20. View the swim meet schedule for times and disruption details.

Choosing a child care provider is a big decision—you want your baby or toddler to be nurtured and cared for as well as you would do yourself. Our child care programs offer environments that are safe and stimulating, and caring, supportive infant and toddler educators who understand what makes your child special.

Children are provided with vital learning opportunities, following the YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum, which helps children discover learning through creative play.

We know that kids need much more than just immediate family to grow up strong—our programs support families and provide young children with the care and support they need to reach their full potential.

Our Infant and Toddler program follows a child to staff ratio of 1:4. Babies are provided with individual, customized schedules for feeding and napping. Children spend time outside each day and are provided with healthy snacks.

YMCA Infant and Toddler care is currently offered at Little Scholars Child CareKelowna Secondary School and Queen's Park Multi-Age Child Care.
