Increase to Canada Child Benefit

Families who are entitled to receive the CCB for April 2020 and still have an eligible child in their care in May will get up to $300 extra per child as part of their regular May payment. This is a one-time increase to the May CCB payment. Learn more

Increase to the GST/HST Credit Amount

Those who normally receive this credit and have filed their 2018 taxes should have received the extra payment automatically on April 9. Those who previously did not receive the credit may still receive a one-time credit. If you haven't filed your 2018 taxes, you won't receive this payment and we encourage you to file soon as you may be eligible for retroactive benefits and credits. Learn more

Staff Emergency Assistance Fund

We understand that even with the various government funding relief programs, some families and individuals may be struggling to pay for necessities. We want to provide some help to those in need.

The YMCA of Greater Vancouver (YGV) and the YMCA of Okanagan have established Staff Emergency Assistance Funds to help our staff members who are experiencing significant financial hardship during the pandemic. Learn more or apply
