Healthy Kids Day has been cancelled this year to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

For parents and their little ones to connect with healthy resources during this time, we invite parents to join the YMCA Early Years community Facebook group for engaging content (like live storytime sessions, crafts and music) and resource-sharing.

Active kids are needed more than ever.

YMCA Healthy Kids Day brings families together to engage in fun, active play, and learn healthier habits to help them grow and thrive. The 2018 Participation Report Card on physical activity for children and youth reported that only 35% of 5- to 17- year-olds are reaching their recommended physical activity levels. Let’s change this together!

Connecting families to healthy resources strengthens the community.

The Okanagan is rich in non-profit and business organizations who work each day to better our community’s future. YMCA Healthy Kids Day is one day where all activity partners, sponsors and volunteers pour their energy into children’s health—building the foundation of a healthy community today and tomorrow.

Being active must be accessible to all.

The Y believes that no one should be turned away because they can’t afford the full fee to participate. At YMCA Healthy Kids Day, everything from the park and pool activities to snacks is free to everyone. Check back later to download your free transit pass to and from the event one month prior to the event.
