Because the YMCA is a local charity, a Y membership is a socially responsible membership as all our revenue is reinvested back into the community.

Membership Benefits

No other organization provides such comprehensive value for your membership. As a charity and long-term community partner, we are not driven by profit, but by your health and wellness. Your membership includes:

*National and international access

All YMCA-owned facilities in Canada recognize and honour your YMCA membership. Similarly, Canadian YMCA memberships are generally recognized and accepted by international Associations. There are some exceptions, so be sure to check with the YMCA you want to visit to confirm their policy.

Access between local centres

We are able to offer full reciprocity between the Kelowna Family YMCA and the Downtown YMCA. All members of these facilities will be able to access the other facility at any time.

H2O is owned by the City of Kelowna and only operated by the YMCA of Okanagan so, due to our current operating agreement, we cannot offer full reciprocity at this time. But members at the Family Y and Downtown Y receive 25% off the H2O drop-in rate.

Membership Add-ons
Membership Plus (Kelowna Family Y)

Towel Service (Kelowna Downtown Y)

For $10/month, you can have access to clean shower towels daily.

Swim Club Membership (H2O)

Okanagan Masters Swim Club Membership (Ages 19+)

Cancellations

Everyone’s health journey is different, and sometimes we’re faced with unexpected changes. At the Y, you can cancel your membership at any time, without paying any extra fees. If you cancel mid-way through your payment cycle, your membership will remain active for the remainder of that cycle (refunds will not be provided for payments that have already been made). Cancellations must be done in person or through email (membership@ymcaokanagan.ca).

If you plan to come back later, please ask us about putting your membership on hold.

Financial Assistance

Nothing should stand in the way of pursuing a healthy life. As a charity, we provide assistance for those who are unable to afford the full cost of membership.
